Villajoyosa, also known as "La Vila" is a town on the coast located about 5 kilometres from Benidorm. The distance to the airport is about 48 kilometres and it takes less than 40 minutes if you get on the motorway AP-7. Villajoyosa is well connected through its famous "Trenet" or Metropolitan TRAM de Alicante, which runs all the way from Alicante up to Denia.

It has many very prominent landmarks and attractions and a large cultural and tourist interest, for this reason it is the capital of the Marina Baixa. Traditionally a fishing village but has also been developing tourism and manufacturing the famous chocolate (Chocolates Valor, Clavileño, Perez, etc..). Something also notable in this town are the celebrations of the Moors and Christians, known throughout the region and which are definitely worth visiting along with its countless beaches and charming bays and famous beach bars. The cuisine and seafood is also abundant.

As for the real estate world, and considering that it is a coastal town, we can say that it has had a high development, but not the like the "boom" of Benidorm, mainly because the permitted height of the buildings is limited to only a few floors as opposed to the Benidorm skyscrapers. But over the years there has been a lot of new construction at very reasonable prices and has also invested in tourist infrastructure so it is considered a perfect location as an investment due to its potential.
